Need Something To Read, but the Libraries are Closed? 
We understand!  Here are some e-book options.

Libby: An easier way to borrow e-books and downloadable audiobooks from Multnomah County Library. MultnomahCounty Library UPDATE:  Sign up with your cell # for instant access to MultCoLib ebooks (even if you live outside the county!)

HERE is a list of all of Multnomah county's always available e-books, but they have many others available to a few people at a time, so check their catalog if you don't find what you're looking for here.

 

Junior Library Guild has lots of free audio and e-books available. 

 

The Teen Book Cloud provides a bunch of free ebooks to read on your device. There's fiction, non-fiction, and even some graphic novels in the mix!  This is a special selection of free stuff during the Covid-19 closures.  Be sure to notice the username and password listed on the graphic at the left.  See what you can find, and enjoy!

 


Project Gutenberg
 provides almost 62,000 books to download in various formats and read. These are often classic titles that are no longer covered by copyright.  There's a catalog search feature to help you find just the right book!

Audiobook Options

Audible.com Free Audiobooks
There's a collection of several hundred free audiobooks for adults, young children, teens and tweens in this collection. Audible is making this list free during the nationwide school closures. Enjoy!

 

LibriVox Free Audiobooks (No login required) 

LibriVox offers free audiobooks to download and enjoy. They're books that are in the public domain, and are narrated by volunteers.
