We've put together a whole small library of materials to help you answer the questions for the assignment. They are organized by geographic region.
Books on Reserve: Please share. You need to fill out the yellow slips and leave them on the shelf in the Manuscript Room if the book leaves the room. Remember, books check out for one block at a time, or overnight if checked out at the end of the school day. Please return the books by 8am the following morning. Your classmates will thank you for observing the rules.
Need Basic Information About Your Country?

There are several databases that may contain useful articles about your country's interaction with the US during the Cold War. Be sure to check the Database Passwords box at left to obtain logins and passwords. Start with an overview of the country and its foreign policy, carefully noting the names of leaders, groups, political incidents, and dates when important conflicts or political events occurred.
Here are some keyword examples for Chile: Chile, Allende, Pinochet, 1973, junta, "Operation Condor," "Dirty War," CIA intervention, etc.
